About Chie:

Chie Mihara was born in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre to Japanese parents. At eighteen, with a suitcase in hand, she left for Japan to study fashion design in Fukuoka, which led her to work with designer Junko Koshino in Tokyo.

After studying accessory design at FIT in New York City and working there in the footwear industry, Chie headed to Spain in search of Made in Spain craftmanship. The blend of cultures, languages, and experiences shaped her way of seeing the world—and creating within it.

Since then, Chie has never followed fashion or trends. She does what she believes in, what she sees, and what inspires her.

Her work is deeply personal: a direct expression of who she is, how she thinks, and what she wants to share with others.
